ReplyDeleteThe Ruru is a beautiful bird, isn't it? I think their eyes are particular beautiful. If I'm not mistaken, they're also known as Moreporks. My family have a house up north that's surrounded by bush and when we go there we can hear them. It's one of my favourite sounds to hear at night. Do you hear, or see, them where you live?
