Good work with this letter. I like how you have included a photo in the background. It makes it feel like a postcard!
When you talked about leaving the only home you'd ever known, I thought that was powerful. A lot of settlers would have felt like that, I'm sure.
Could you tell us some more about what the land looked like when you arrived? I wonder if there were any other people on the island or any strange creatures.
